"Checkmate" - Maple/Walnut/Cherry End Grain
Most chef's prefer an end grain cutting board. Since the fibers of the wood run up and down instead of sideways, the knife blade slips between these fibers slowing the dulling process of the knife. This checker board pattern is made from NY hard maple and black walnut followed by cherry on each side. Hard Maple is sourced from the forests of New York state where we are based.

This board is 9-7/8in wide x 15-1/8in long x 1-1/2in thick.
All boards are soaked in mineral oil (helps prevent bacteria growth) and coated with our special blend of 100% beeswax and food grade mineral oil.
